Overview
Created commissioned book covers for various authors and book series, translating
detailed briefs and richly imagined worlds into visually compelling artwork. Each project required close attention
to character descriptions, environments, and narrative tone while also incorporating my personal artistic style and
visual interpretation to create memorable and distinctive covers.
Translating worlds into visual form
Every cover began with detailed discussions, references, and descriptions provided by the
authors. My goal was not only to accurately represent their worlds and characters, but also to capture the emotional
atmosphere and visual identity of each story. Through composition, lighting, and cinematic storytelling, I aimed to
create artwork that feels immersive and instantly recognizable.
Creating a cohesive series identity
Designing covers for an entire book series required maintaining a strong and recognizable visual identity while allowing each installment to
have its own atmosphere and narrative focus. Working closely with the author, I developed artwork that reflected the evolving journey, environments,
and themes of the series while keeping a consistent cinematic style, color language, and composition across all covers. The goal was to create visuals
that felt connected as a collection while still making every book visually distinct and memorable.
The breakdown
An important part of this project is also the creative process itself.
Alongside the final artworks, I present progress shots, breakdowns, and behind-the-scenes
explorations that reveal how each piece evolves from an initial idea into a completed composition.
This allows viewers to better understand both the technical and emotional layers behind the work.
